The thing that should not be invented in no frills flight

Selamat hari raya aidil adha! Happy eid adha! May the story of the sacrifice faced by Ibrahim and Ismail be inspiring to all of us.

Lots of tv programs celebrating the eid were televised. Daily, live telecast from the Makkah and Arafah showing Malaysian pilgrims performing their Hajj was shown on air.

There was one interesting statement made by one of the Ustaz on tv Al Hijrah, which I would like to share. Usually we relate sacrifice to letting go of something that are really close to us, or things that we really love. Another perspective brought by the Ustaz was, are we ready to sacrifice our time to devote ourselves in our compulsory five times daily prayer, our tahajjud at night, or sunnat prayer? Are we ready to sacrifice our aurat to opt for aurat covering garments? These are all simple and basic things from the out set, but not as easy to execute.

All these, not only for the sake of doing it, but also from the devoutness and the sincerity of our own heart to the call of Allah SWT. Assessing myself, I am still too far from it.

The things that were mentioned by the Ustaz were not physical, but things which are there and yet, we cannot see, feel or touch them.
Reclining seats. (www.jaunted.com)
Back on the no frills plane. One thing I detest most is the ability of the passenger seat to recline. Once the passenger in front decide to put himself in a very comfortable mode, his reclining seats will take up some of my personal space. The head rest will be just a few centimetres from my nose and the back of the seat will hit against my knees. Further, you cannot do any reading comfortably in such limited space.

I wonder if I am the only one complaining. What about millions of other passengers?

The reply that I get if I vent my grouses about the seats will be, "this is a cheap flight.. want more space, go MAS". I think, the seats are already comfortable in a straightened position. Reclining the seats will mount to inconsideration and irate those at the back.

Anyway, just a note.
